Programmes 

The school offers a wide range of graduate programs that can help you launch your professional and research career. They have over 300 master’s programs and over 100 doctoral programs.

General Admission Requirements

Master’s programs:

  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the field of study they are applying for.
  • Applicants with first-class or upper second-class honors degrees will be given preference.

PhD programs:

  • Applicants must have an MPhil degree from an accredited university.
  • Applicants must also submit evidence of their ability to complete the proposed PhD program.

Mode of Application

To buy KNUST admission forms, you must first purchase an e-voucher. The e-voucher can be purchased from any of the following banks or institutions:

  • Cal Bank
  • Zenit Bank
  • GCB Bank
  • Ghana Post Company
  • KNUST Cashier’s Office

The e-voucher costs GH₵ 220.00 for Ghanaian applicants and $150.00 for international students.

Once you have purchased the e-voucher, you can use the serial number and PIN to log in to the KNUST admission portal and purchase the admission form. Alternatively, you can buy the KNUST Admission forms online with a Mobile Money Account using the guide below.

Duration of Programme

  • PhD (full-time): 6 years (4 years + 2 years grace period)
  • PhD (part-time): 7 years (5 years + 2 years grace period)
  • MPhil/MFA/MArch (full-time): 2 years
  • MPhil/MFA/MArch (part-time): 3 years
