The cut-off point for WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination) candidates is 36. The cut-off point for SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination) candidates is 24. Candidates who score below the cut-off point will not be considered for admission.

KNUST Home Economics Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to home economics courses at KNUST, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

  • WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants:
    • Credit passes in core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.
    • Credit passes in three elective subjects or its equivalent relevant to the chosen program with aggregate 24 or better (WASSCE A1-C6/SSSCE A-D).
    • D7, E8, and F9 are not accepted.
  • GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) Applicants:
    • Holders who possess passes in three compulsory subjects including English Language and Mathematics and passes in any three elective subjects.
