The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNSUT) Access Course for Enrolled Nurses for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery Access Course is a 6-8 week program that allows certified or diploma-holding general nurses, midwives, public health nurses, mental health nurses, and community health nurses to enroll in sandwich degree programs in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Students will begin their studies at level 200.
Eglibility and Requirements
Ghanaian applicants must:
- Be a registered nurse with a certificate accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
- Have a certificate in one of the following areas: Community Health Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, or HATS Certificate (EN), Midwifery certificate Post – CHN, Post – EN, and Post HAC Midwifery.
- Have at least three years of experience working in their chosen field.
- If they have a diploma from a Ministry of Health Training Institution, they must have a final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 2.00 or better.

- Holders of certificates from institutions that are not accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana are not eligible to apply for the Nurses Access Course.
- The Nurses Access Course is for applicants who do not meet the entry requirements for the Nursing Diploma.
- The Access Course will start in May 2023.
International Applicants
The following people can apply for the program:
- Healthcare or environmental health professionals with certificates or diplomas
- Who have at least three years of experience
- Who can speak English (if they are from a non-English speaking country)
- Who meet the professional entry requirements set by the relevant professional body
The program will start at level 200.
How to Apply for KNUST Nursing Access Programme
Instructions for applying to the KNUST Nursing Access Programme:
- Go to ECOBANK, GCB BANK, or CONSOLIDATED BANK and purchase an E-Voucher for GH¢150.00. Then, go to the KNUST Admissions Portal (https://admissions.knust.edu.gh/idlaccess/index.php)and apply online.
- Complete the online application form using the E-Voucher you purchased.
- Include certified true copies of your nursing training college certificates and WASSCE/SSSCE results slip in your application pack.
- Only results and documents provided at the time of application will be considered.
- Print out two copies of the completed online form and mail them to the following address by March 31st:
