KNUST Admission Requirements for International Students

International Baccalaureate (IB) students applying to KNUST must have at least a grade 4 in three Higher Level (HL) subjects that are relevant to their chosen program, and at least a grade 5 in Chemistry for Health and Allied Sciences. For engineering programs, IB students must have at least a grade 5 in HL Mathematics.

Students applying to any undergraduate degree program at KNUST must have a final grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0. Applicants to the University School of Medicine and Dentistry must have a final GPA of at least 3.25. All admissions will be for the first year of study.

Note: (a) Applicants from French-speaking countries must provide a certificate of English proficiency that is valid for at least one year. (b) Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations.

To generate a login for the KNUST admissions portal as an international student:

Go to the KNUST admissions portal URL: apps.knust.edu.gh and fill the Admission forms online
Enter your email address.
Select your admission group: “Undergraduate International Applicants” or “Distance Learning-Postgraduates International Applicants”.
Check the security box.
Click on the “Generate Login” button.
