Prof. James Ben Hayfron-Acquah
The department of computer science is led by Prof. James B. Hayfron-Acquah. In 1991, he earned his first degree in computer science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In 1996, he went on to get his master’s degree in computer science and application at Shanghai University of Science and Technology (SUST), Shanghai, China. In 2003, he earned his PhD from Southampton University in the United Kingdom. He began working at KNUST as a lecturer in March 1996. In 2004 he was made a Senior Lecturer, and in 2015 he was made an Associate Professor.
Mr. Joseph Kobina Panford
In September 2004, Mr. J. K. Panford was hired as a lecturer in the computer department. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology awarded him a BSc in computer science in 2000. Stuttgart, Germany awarded him an MSc in software technology in 2004.

Dr. Kwabena Owusu-Agyemang
A lecturer at the Department of Computer Science with expertise in blockchain and machine learning, Kwabena Owusu-Agyemang also does research in these fields. He graduated from Coventry University with a master’s in information technology management and a doctorate in software engineering with a focus on machine learning.
He has a great desire to use cutting edge technology as a skilled educator and machine learning engineer in order to progress research and promote innovation.
His expertise is in using machine learning algorithms and approaches to solve challenging challenges in a variety of fields. He has shown proficiency in developing and putting into practice data-driven solutions that enhance performance and decision-making.
Dr. Dominic Asamoah
In 1986 and 2010, respectively, Dr. Dominic Asamoah earned his B.Sc. (Hons) in computer science and his MPhil in computer science. In 2002, he joined the computer science department. In 2017, he earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Visions from KNUST in Ghana. At the moment, he serves as a SENIOR LECTURER in the KNUST Department of Computer Science. Dr. Dominic Asamoah worked as a systems analyst and programmer in many computer firms both domestically and overseas before being hired as a lecturer at KNUST. He worked as an advisor. in the areas of security and computing.
Rev. (Dr.) Kwame Ofosuhene Peasah
A lecturer in the computer science department is Kwame Ofosuhene Peasah. He has both a bachelor’s and a doctorate in computer science. After earning his first degree, he diverged into the field of mathematics, earning his MSc in Industrial Mathematics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Before joining KNUST, he worked in the following institutions between 1994 and 2007. Ashanti Goldfields at Obuasi, the Institute of Land Management in Kumasi, and the Crops Research Institute in Kumasi. His specialties include database forensics, operating systems, and digital forensics.
